ASICS Tiger Chameleoid Mesh – Available Now

ASICS Tiger shared details of the upcoming GEL-Runner and GEL-Kayano Trainer EVO, part of its AW16 range, and both include the recent Chameleoid Mesh innovation we saw earlier in the year. As we revealed back in July, ASICS’ new Chameleoid Mesh technology dazzles, as the uppers shift colour depending on the angle you’re looking at the shoe (hence being named after the chameleon… duh). If you look at it straight on, you might see bright shades of what ASICS calls “Fiery Coral.” Give it the old side eye, and you could see “Green Gecko”. Interesting names, arresting tones – and they form a pleasant contrast with the black accents and bottoms, and the white mid-soles. And of course, it’s not just all about the looks – these ASICS Tigers have brains too, as the fabric is breathable and flexible, and both enjoy the comfort of ASICS’ GEL Technology.

The GEL-KAYANO TRAINER EVO may be an eye-catcher but it’s a slender and elegant silhouette, which includes a monosock upper, meaning the shoes can be easily and quickly slipped on and off. The GEL-LYTE RUNNER harks back to the classic running shoes of the ‘90s, complete with the ASICS stripes, albeit with a contemporary look and modern materials.
