A couple of classics from the ’80s and ’90s are being brought bang up to date with the ADIDAS ORIGINALS x OFFSPRING LUXE MONO PACK.
The ZX 420, originally released in the late ’80s, comes in a mono red makeup in a mix of croc, creased and suede leathers on the upper, which sits atop a matching red midsole and finished off nicely with a contrasting icy outsole. Finishing details include some reflective features on the tongue that add a bit of a subtle pop to the all-red upper.
The Torsion Response Lite, a lightweight racing silhouette added to the Torsion series in the early ’90s, has been given a monotone black and grey upper. The black neoprene of the sockliner has been extended to cover the toebox, while stingray-patterned leather panels wrap the midfoot and heel to create a real head-turning finish. Suede on the toe wrap and leather on the three stripes complete the upper, while a white and ice sole unit offers some nice contrast.
Trainers that come in a mono make up with a nice mix of materials are always a good look and the ADIDAS ORIGINALS x OFFSPRING LUXE MONO PACK is no different. Both pairs are set to release on FRIDAY 21 NOVEMBER 2014 exclusively with Offspring – check back here for further details come the time.
