The ADIDAS CONSORTIUM EQT SUPPORT ADV UNDFTD is the next instalment in adidas’ impressive series of classic designs updated for the future.

Taking design cues from the iconic ’90s adidas Equipment running series, the modernised silhouette boasts cutting edge construction for an exceptional combination of comfort and stability. And the forthcoming collab version from legendary US retailer/brand Undefeated is a particularly strong execution of the new model. For this release the sock-like upper comes in deep matte black neoprene, with matching leather overlays and a blacked-out sole unit. Giving a nod to some of adidas’ most iconic monochrome releases from the past (older Gazelles, Sambas and Superstars spring immediately to mind), the contrasting off-white Three Stripes branding stands out boldly against the black base. And as a final touch, the translucent heel support features a subtle camouflage pattern that ties in with Undefeated’s frequent use of military references. All in all, this deceptively simple new release ticks all the right boxes for those who prefer their footwear dark and moody for the winter.
