Teddy Santis became known with the success of his clothing brand Aimé Leon Dore. His brand has had several collaborations with New Balance. Since 2021, Santis has been the Creative Director of New Balance's Made In USA and UK lines. In 2022, they released a pack designed with Teddy for the first time.
 
The 990v1 from this collection has a clean look. The upper is made of mesh in a beige colour. Above the mesh are suede overlays in grey. The heeltab is made of leather and is in beige. On the side of the shoe is a big 'N' in white.
