The Story mfg. x ASICS GEL-Transcend FJ 'Black' is the black take on the collaboration between ASICS and the British label Story mfg. The upper carries a check print in black and grey, with the ASICS Stripes as an overlay and a textile lining. The rubber outsole is inspired by the GEL-FujiTrabuco 7 trail runner, which is where the FJ in the name comes from. The design draws on ASICS' 1990s hiking and walking models such as the GEL-Odyssey, GEL-Radius and the original Transcend series.
