In 2021, Patta and Nike came out with 4 unique versions of the Air Max. The sneakers had been given a 'The Wave' makeover with distinctive, wavy mudguards. This series continued into 2022.

The second series, called The Second Wave, started with the release of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Dark Russet'.  This sneaker has an upper in Dark Russet and Metallic Silver, the latter can be found on the mesh, the mini-Swoosh and around the Swoosh. The colours of the previous releases can be found on the lining, eyestays, tongue piping and tongue label.
