Pieter Janssen, better known as Piet Parra, and Nike have a wonderful history. The two meet with some regularity to work on a wearable piece of art. The 2018 dropped Air Max 1 is no exception to this. From the split mudguard to the laces there is nothing that has not received attention.

The Parra x Nike Air Max 1 has a number of details the same as the 'OG' colorways. For example, the sneaker has white mesh, grey overlays and the material is also similar to the 2018 Nike Air Max 1 Anniversary OG releases. The mudguard is divided into two parts. The front part is white and grey striped, it also features the famous Parra signature that appears on several Parra sneakers. The back part is dark blue with white dots. Stripes can be found on the heel piece, this time pink and purple. Other parts such as the insole have also been given the classic Parra makeover.

Besides this retail version, Nike and Parra also released a very exclusive Friend & Family version. As the name suggests, this was only for a select group of friends and family.
