At heart this is Nike's original Air Max 2000, from its experimental Alpha Project era, with the structure it had when it first appeared more than 25 years ago. On the Nike Air Max Ecstasy Plus 'Desert Khaki & Metallic Gold', the khaki runs over the woven upper and down into the midsole. Long moulded strips on each side pick up the gold and Geode Teal, and the teal sections change colour slightly from certain angles. Beneath the heel, a large visible Air unit stretches forward into the midfoot.
