The Air Max 97 is inspired by water droplets falling into the water. The waves running across the sneakers represent the ripples created by the impact.

Nike's 'Silver Bullet' version features a silver mesh sole and mudguards outlined in white and silver leather. The wavy overlay on top is made of 3M reflective material. The tongue and centre panel are adorned with red mini Swooshes. An Air unit runs throughout the white midsole, while the black outsole is accented with white and red details to complete the sporty design.
