The second Nike model with a visible Air Unit was the Air Max 90. This pair was initially introduced in 1990, as the name implies. Since then, the shape has appeared in many various colorways, including this women's-only version in 'Barely Rose'.

Mesh and leather make up the Nike Air Max 90's upper. On the toebox and in the area around the collar, the mesh is visible. The leather overlay and the mesh are both a light pink colour. The tongue, heel tab, and laces are all coloured a delicate pink. Salmon pink has been applied to the mudguard. The Swoosh has been made distinct by Nike by turning it white.
