The Nike Air Max 90 'Kiss My Airs' is a tribute to the 'Infrared,' one of Nike's original colorways. Many people adored the 'Infrared' sneaker's black, white, and infrared orange colour scheme. Nike chose to launch the 'Kiss My Airs' series to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Max. Numerous Nike models in the 2017 season featured vibrant colours.

In 2023, the Nike Air Max 90 'Kiss My Airs' line made a triumphant return. Along with the addition of a new colour to the 2023 AM, Nike's iconic Safari pattern is also making a comeback. The AM90's centre panel, nose, and Swoosh all display the print. Black leather makes up the mudguards, and behind the Swoosh, you can notice the new dark purple-blue colour. Last but not least, the shoe incorporates the 'Infrared' colour in its finer features, such as the transparent air unit, the laces, the tongue label, the heel tab, and the back of the outsole.
