Underneath, the Air Max bubble's pillars incorporate the University of North Carolina-inspired blue, while the surrounding foam opts for a more simple finish. To maintain a nod to its debut styles from 1987, the waffle-patterned outsole keeps things simple while echoing the colour-blocking concept.
