Nike recently introduced a new color scheme for the Air Max 1. Classic white and grey hues appear on the sneaker's midsole and base layers.

'University Blue' accents add vibrancy to the mudguards, profile swooshes, tongue branding, and spine branding. A pillar in the Air Max bubble incorporates the University of North Carolina blue, while the foam surrounding it opts for a more simple look. With a waffle-patterned outsole, the shoe keeps things simple while echoing the colour-blocking concept of its debut styles in 1987.
