The Nike Air Max 1 was the very first sneaker from Nike to feature the Air Bubble. This sneaker was a big part of the sports brand's Air technology process. The Air Max 1 was first released in 1987.
 
The 'Obsidian' colorway of the pair has a distinct color-blocking. The base of the pair is in white and made of leather. Above the white leather, a grey colour is used on the overlays. On the Swoosh and on the mudguard, the dark blue 'Obsidian' colour can be spotted. This colour is also seen on the lace eyelets, tongue, Nike Air branding and outsole.
