Teddy Santis became the Creative Director of New Balance's MADE in USA line in 2021. Santis was no stranger to the American sports brand. He has his own brand called Aimé Leon Dore. His authentic signature can be seen in all the pairs he designs with New Balance.
 
The New Balance 990v1 'Incense' (M990AD1) is one of the first pairs that came out under Teddy's direction. The upper is made of mesh, leather and suede. The mesh covers the base of the upper in a yellowed hue. The leather sits across the middle of the upper and is beige. The leather element features the 'N' in black. The heel cap and toe cap are suede in beige. The heeltab and lining of this pair are also in black.
