Introducing the adidas Crazy 8
The adidas Crazy 8 (first released in 1997 under its original name, the adidas KB8) marked Kobe Bryant’s debut signature sneaker, introduced soon after he joined adidas straight from high school. The model quickly gained attention for its bold, futuristic styling and high-performance features. Its design stood out with sharp, angular overlays, a distinctive zigzag midsole, and the rounded Feet You Wear sole that emphasised natural foot motion and comfort.
Beneath the surface, the Crazy 8 featured a lightweight EVA midsole paired with a Torsion stability plate to enhance support during sharp movements, while a herringbone-patterned outsole ensured strong traction on the court.
