Asics brings together Australian Sneaker Freaker magazine and Japanese retailer Atmos for a collaboration. Together, they present the "Alley Cats" colorway on the classic Gel Lyte III silhouette. The shoe was featured on the cover of the 47th issue of Sneaker Freaker magazine. The colorway and details on the Gel Lyte III are inspired by the stray cats of Melbourne and Tokyo's alleyways. The pair comes in a mix of grey and purple and also has a fun mix of materials in its construction. Furry grey faux fur appears on the heels and side panels, while the rest of the upper features suede, leather, stains and more. Another fun twist is that the Asics stripes and sections of the toebox light up in the dark and shine in a mint green hue that matches the midsection of the outsoles. Additional details include mismatched Sneaker Freaker and atmos branding on the heels, a white midsole with a purple speckled midsection and mismatched graphic insoles. The pair also come with additional laces.
