In 2024, Jordan Brand will reintroduce the Air Jordan 9 Powder Blue, following a 2010 throwback release. The sneakers were first released in 1994 as a tribute to Michael Jordan's stint at the University of North Carolina.

The colour scheme of White, Black, and Dark Powder Blue from the initial release is retained in the 2024 vintage pair. The white leather top is complemented by Powder Blue accents on the midsole, heel, and tongue branding, while Black detailing is seen on the tongue, eyelets, lining, Jumpman logo on the midsole, and heel pull tabs.

Unlike the 2010 model, the 2024 edition will not include the #23 sewn on the heels as a tribute to the original 1994 release.
