Timberland Takes 25% Off the Weight of Its 6-Inch Boot

Some boots don't need fixing, and the Timberland 6-Inch is one of them. So instead of redesigning its most famous boot, Timberland has gone for something subtler: it has made it lighter.

Meet the Timberland 25, named after the 25% of weight it has dropped compared to the original. From across the street it looks exactly like the boot you already know, and it's available now.

A Closer Look at the Timberland 25 6-Inch Waterproof Boot...

On the outside, very little has changed, and that's very much the point. The upper is still waterproof Premium Timberland leather, so the silhouette keeps all the character that made the 6-Inch a staple in the first place.

The real work happens underneath. A dual-density TimberCush midsole takes care of the cushioning, a TimberDry membrane keeps the rain out, and an OrthoLite Impressions insole sits on top. According to Timberland, the result is a boot that's more flexible and better suited to everyday wear, not just the odd cold snap.

A Little Kinder to the Planet

Inside, the lining is made from ReBOTL, a material that contains at least 50% recycled plastic. Men can choose between Yellow, Brown and Dark Brown, while the women's version comes in Yellow and Black.
