Keeping track of sneaker releases can be tricky at the best of times, but as the OG’s in Organising The Chaos, we’ve made it simple for you. Below is a list of the hottest drops last week, so you don’t take any L’s! Check our newsfeed every Monday for an updated round up.
Bruce Kilgore’s iconic Air Force 1 model is no stranger to progression, breaking rules, and creating entirely new ones. The ‘Wild’ sub-model is a perfect example of this, unifying the sneakers basketball heritage with trail-coded design elements. Expressing a mixed textile dynamic of suede and breathable mesh, the sneaker oozes a rustic personality that’s aesthetically (and physically) ideal for outdoor ventures. Dressed mostly in a ‘Wheat Gold’ hue, these kicks couldn’t be more apt for autumn ‘fits.
The Nike P-6000 WMNS ‘Black Volt’: sleek, streamlined and cold. The upper sports an urban flair composed of a grey, black and grey palette. The black breathable mesh base forms the perfect canvas for silver leather overlays to decorate the upper. Taking centre stage are the neon green accents that adopt the Swoosh lining and branding, incorporating the ‘volt’ vibes. The P-6000 is widely recognised for its fashionable y2k aesthetic, and this iteration is no exception.
Brought into fruition out of the Oregon-based retailers appreciation for South Korea, the Nike Air Max 1 ‘87 SE WMNS ‘Hangul Day’ arrives in a neutral palette. The suede beige panelling is said to give reference to the statue of King Sejong in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, resembling the rustic hue. Complimented by a crisp white mesh base and Swoosh, the upper sits atop a creamy midsole. If you’re looking for some easy-going kicks to fit your winter style, these might just be the one.
With their creative relationship debuting back in 2018, Ambush and Nike are back with a vibrant iteration of the Air More Uptempo. Created by South Korean designer Yoon Ahn, AMBUSH blurs the line between high-fashion and streetwear, delivering ice cold pieces that are sought-after by fashion connoisseurs globally. Entering the market as the third addition to their collaborative Air More Uptempo endeavours, the sneaker adopts the most lively palette than we’ve seen thus far. Expressing a predominantly purple body, the colour scheme is injected with bright green detailing within the ‘AIR’ branding, laces and heel tab. These shoes are guaranteed to brighten up any ‘fit of choice – take our word for it.
Arriving in unison with the ‘Lilac’ iteration, we present to you the monochromatic ‘Black and White’ Ambush x Nike Air More Uptempo Low. Capturing the same finesse as its brightly-hued counterpart, this iteration dons a simple and versatile palette. Style with cargos and an oversized hoodie for a relaxed look suitable for an array of occasions.
The New Balance 990v6 is having a strong 2023, forming the foundation for collaborations with the likes of Action Bronson, WTAPS and Carhartt WIP. Crafted from pigskin leather and mesh underlays, this ‘Navy’ colourway is bringing all the winter heat. Aside from the deep ‘Navy’ colouring, subtle amounts of grey flood the laces, insole, “N” emblem and reflective accents. Concluding the timeless silhouette is a white, grey and ivory colour-blocked chunky midsole. Set your alarms for this one, or be prepared to miss out.
Originally unveiled back in February, the adidas Crazy IIIfinity Shoes are finally in reach, dropping this Friday. The sneaker sports a streamlined, all-black exterior that draws inspiration from the adidas Crazy 1, designed by Eirik Lund Nielsen for Kobe Bryant back in 2000. Debossed subtly into the lateral and medial sidewalls, the classic 3-Stripes adds a sophisticated layer of depth. A herringbone patterned outsole acts as the cherry on top to this sleek-as-they-come iteration, providing maximum grip and functionality.
As far as Saturday’s sneaker releases go, the Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Aqua’ takes a clear first place. Following in the heritage of other legendary ‘Aqua’ Air Jordan models such as the AJ8 and AJ5, this iteration incorporates the blue shade in a timeless manner. Placed alongside ‘Bright Concord’ purple and white within the sole unit, the upper utilises a black leather nubuck. The contrast between shading makes for a classic stylised sneaker, suitable for whether it’s hot or cold outside.
From choreographing industry veterans like Rihanna, Janet Jackson & Justin Bieber, New Zealand-born creative Parris Goebel is now turning the shoe game upside down with the Parris Goebel x Nike Dunk Low. Flaunting a playful colour palette of glossy barbie pink overlays and a “Bronzine” leather base, this iteration is a perfect expression of Goebel’s creative efforts and authentically unapologetic style. The shiny clear jade Swoosh incorporates a vivid splash of colour into the mix, carried throughout the heel detailing and logo. Moreover, insole branding swaps out a conventional Swoosh for Goebel’s own logo, fairly paying homage to the icon behind this collaboration.
