PUMA Kicks Off a New Era for Portugal Football Kits

A new era begins for Portugal’s national football teams in 2025, as PUMA reveals their first-ever kits for both the men’s and women’s teams. This marks the end of a 27-year partnership with Nike, who had supplied the national team’s kits since 1997.

PUMA’s new designs celebrate Portugal’s deep passion for football, reflecting the famous phrase ‘por amor à camisola,‘ which means ‘for the love of the shirt.‘ This saying captures the heart and soul of Portuguese football, and PUMA has brought it to life in their new kits.

The Home kits feature the classic red and green colours of Portugal, with a fresh twist. The men’s shirt comes in a rich red base, accented with gold and green. Meanwhile, the women’s mixes red, mint green, and black for a more playful design. Both jerseys include a unique pattern of the Quinas emblem, the national symbol of Portugal.

The Away kits are equally striking! The men’s version has a white base, with bold red and green graphics. The women’s kit offers a mint green look, while still maintaining the same dynamic, modern design. These kits perfectly balance Portugal’s rich football history with a forward-thinking style.

Supporters can choose between two versions of the kits: Authentic and Replica. The Authentic kit, worn by the players, is made with PUMA’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric, which reduces weight and friction. The Replica kit offers a relaxed fit for everyday wear, with the same sharp design. Both kits feature PUMA’s dryCELL technology to keep players and fans dry and comfortable.

PUMA has also made a commitment to sustainability. The Replica kits are made from at least 95% recycled materials, supporting a more eco-friendly production process.

The new Portugal kits are available from 7th January 2025 at PUMA (ONLINE/IN-STORE) & SELECT RETAILERS. With this fresh release, PUMA looks set to make history with Portugal, both on and off the pitch.
