Pharrell Williams and adidas Ready a Premium Suede Look for the Virginia Vario ‘Flat Earther’

It is official: Pharrell Williams and adidas present a Suede version of the Vario Flat Earthers. Back in April did we see the first iterations of the brand new Vario Flat Earther design. Now, in June 2026, we will get a suede version. Continuing his ongoing, boundary-pushing partnership with the Three Stripes, the creative powerhouse is expanding his cultural ‘VIRGINIA’ universe with the adidas Originals VIRGINIA Vario FLAT EARTHER Suede.

A Closer Look at the Flat Earther Suede by Pharrell Williams x adidas…

Grounded in luxury, craft, and a touch of the surreal, this latest drop reimagines the original low-profile lifestyle silhouette through a softer, premium lens. While the first Virgina Vario Flat Earther model made waves earlier this year in April 2026, this updated iteration shifts things into premium territory with a soft suede upper. It gives the sneaker a clean and premium aesthetic. The Suede pack comes with two distinct, clean colourways: Black and Blue.

But the real talking point here is the hardware, or rather, the lack thereof. Ditching traditional laces entirely, the sneaker features a clever magnetic closure system. This effortless on-and-off design is a direct nod to the shoe’s frictionless philosophy.

Sitting alongside the sleek suede are classic leather Three Stripes running down the sides. The look is completed by a rubber outsole, subtly stamped with the VIRGINIA branding underfoot.

From Yoga Mats to the Streets

To understand the FLAT EARTHER design, you have to look back to the adidas archives, specifically to 2004, when the brand introduced the Yoga Vario. Born out of the discipline of yoga and the philosophy of mindful, intentional movement, that deep-archive silhouette serves as the architectural blueprint for Pharrell’s modern interpretation.

Operating under his creative pseudonym and cultural platform, ‘VIRGINIA’, Pharrell uses this footwear line to explore themes of balance, groundedness, and perspective. The design is expressive, yet entirely understated. Especially in comparison with designs like the Pharrell Williams x adidas Jellyfish.
