Leading the way with an all-new sub-brand titled  ‘OTW by Vans’, the skate-focussed label is bringing us collaborations with a progressive selection of creatives. Starting this journey with none other than S.R STUDIO. LA., a brand by contemporary designer, Sterling Ruby, the partnership injects an entirely new perspective into the brand’s aesthetic. With an inaugural model named ‘Clash the Wall’, the silhouette expresses a dynamic concoction of Vans’ grails as well as Ruby’s artistic perspective.

S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA. is a dynamic fashion and accessories label, sculpted over a decade of boundary-pushing textile exploration. Guided by the visionary artist Sterling Ruby, the label crafts collections that defy seasonal conventions, channelling inspiration from Ruby’s diverse artistic roster. 

“This collaboration is a personal collaboration, the first S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA. collaboration. Vans feels right to us, it defines a certain West Coast history. Boasting two eye-catching palettes of neon orange and green, ‘Clash The Wall’ pays homage to the icons that have come before it, drawing influence from the Old Skool 36, the Authentic, the Mid-Skool and Sk8-Hi. Bringing the avant-garde energy synonymous with Ruby’s work, a split quarter and heel disrupts the flow of the sidestripe and foot entry point. If you’re a fan of footwear that stands out, we know you’re going to love this. Bold typography marks its territory on the tongue and midsole alongside special branding, complemented by a split Vans logo proudly attached to the heel.
