Nanushka x ASICS GEL-KINETIC FLUENT: Where Craft Meets Innovation

Budapest-based fashion house Nanushka has joined forces with ASICS to deliver a distinctive take on the GEL-KINETIC FLUENT, merging artisanal craftmanship with new footwear technology. This collaboration introduces a dynamic fusion of natural aesthetics and high-performance elements, making it one of ASICS’ more unconventional partnerships.

A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Tech

Inspired by organic forms found in nature, Nanushka’s interpretation of the GEL-KINETIC FLUENT emphasizes fluidity and balance. The sneaker is available in two versatile colorways. The first is a tan version, accented with black and silver details, while the second is a black variant, featuring white stitching and amber heel cushions.

Unlike many ASICS partnerships that primarily experiment with colors and materials, this collaboration takes things further by subtly modifying the silhouette. Previously, ASICS’ more avant-garde designs have emerged from its work with Kiko Kostadinov, particularly through projects like the Novalis line and Otto 958.

“Organic forms in nature are a key source of inspiration, fueling both my creativity and personal sense of balance. This collaboration marks an exciting milestone for us as we step into a new decade and honor the brand’s 20th anniversary, ” says Sandra Sándor, Founder and Creative Director of Nanushka.

Supporting Mental-Well Being Through Design

Beyond aesthetics, the Nanushka x ASICS collaboration aligns with Crafts for Mind, ASICS’ initiative that promotes mental health awareness. As part of this effort, proceeds will support Mind Over Mountains, a charity dedicated to fostering mental well-being through nature-based programs.

“Collaborating with ASICS for Nanushka’s first sneaker felt instinctive, given our shared emphasis on movement and design integrity, ” Sándor adds.

Release

The Nanushka x ASICS GEL-KINETIC FLUENT is set to launch on March 25, 2025, and will be available for purchase through Nanushka’s online store, its flagship locations in London and New York, as well as Dover Street Market London. Stay tuned to The Drop Date news page for the latest updates.
