The Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG Rebellionaire is Scheduled for March

The NIKE AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG REBELLIONAIRE circles back to the formative years of the basketball icon. In the periods before Michael Jordan’s legendary six rings run with the Chicago Bulls, a rebellious nature was prompted out of him early on when the NBA banned his black and university red Air Jordan 1 in October of 1985. This particular ‘Bred’ colourway became folk law within sports and sneakers as a shoe Jordan continued to wear despite the ban reportedly racking up fines of $5000 each time he wore them on the court, a bill Nike eventually covered. 

This updated silhouette puts the banned story into context across a speckled black and grey upper, revealing an all-over ‘They Can’t Stop You From Wearing Them’ script, which references the classic line from a Nike ad that directly called out the banned controversy in ’85. Each pair arrives with a crisp white midsole, capped off by wings logos at the collar, Air Jordan tongue tags and a printed red ‘X’ at the heel.
