Nike is making a bold move into the affordable sneaker market with its upcoming release of the V5 RNR, set to drop in SPRING 2025.
This new budget-friendly runner aims to compete with models like the ASICS GEL-1130 and New Balance 530, offering solid performance and a touch of retro style without breaking the bank. Priced at just £90, it’s clear that Nike is keen to provide a wallet-friendly option for sneakerheads who want something more than just basic trainers.
White & Green (HJ5228-100) / Black (HJ5228-001) / Parachute Beige (HJ5228-102)
The V5 RNR takes inspiration from early 2000s designs, embracing the Y2K aesthetic that’s currently making waves in the sneaker world. The design features a breathable mesh upper with synthetic overlays, creating a balanced look. A grooved midsole adds a unique touch while ensuring comfort with each step, reminiscent of the beloved Vomero 5.
So far, the Swoosh has three colourways coming up. The first two showcase metallic silver overlays, one accented with green and the other with gold, giving them a futuristic edge. Their third counterpart showcases a sleek all-black version for those who prefer to opt for a more understated look.
The V5 RNR is set to be a hit when it lands next SPRING 2025 at NIKE & SELECT RETAILERS. It’s a good addition to Nike’s line-up, offering performance, comfort, and a touch of nostalgia without the hefty price tag.
