Dior x Stone Island | The Collab we all Needed?

Yesterday marked a big day for connoisseurs of streetwear and luxury. Bridging the gap between the realms of fashion, Dior and Stone Island join forces to provide an innovative capsule like never before. 

Possessing decades and decades worth of heritage between them, this partnership isn’t as random as it may seem when you really think about it. After all, when it comes to utilitarian aesthetics and technicality, who better to step up to the plate than Stone island? And when you combine that with the immaculate creative direction of Kim Jones – the result is sure to be one for the history books.

Drawing influence from the essence of both esteemed founders, Christian Dior and Massimo Osti, Jones explains that “they both were ‘obsessives’”, allowing the capsule to express “a mix from an haute couture vision to that of military functionality.”

A Closer Look at the Dior x Stone Island Collection…

As we imagined, the standard of the apparel, accessories and footwear is second-to-none. An immaculate capsule that boasts a healthy mixture of both staple and statement pieces, there’s a seamless blend of both the French and Italian labels’ creative essence. Incorporating the classic Yellow often implemented throughout Stone Island’s collections, a tailored raincoat proudly reps the hue, contrasting more serious pieces like black leather jackets. That being said, the alliance doesn’t shy away from expressing bright colours – featuring a pink and blue utility jacket amongst other colourful bangers. 

The Dior x Stone Island Collection is due to land exclusively in Dior boutiques across select locations: Milan (14TH JUNE), London (18TH JUNE), US (27TH JUNE). The capsule will then receive a global release on THURSDAY 4TH JULY 2024.
