Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance Bring Back the 475

Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance are back at it again, this time reviving the New Balance 475 for their Fall 2024 collection. Teddy Santis, the brains behind ALD and also the creative director for New Balance’s MADE in USA line, has given this classic silhouette a fresh twist with two new colourways.

The first colourway comes in a muted grey and green combo, with a vintage feel thanks to pre-aged leather details and premium suede overlays. It’s clean, simple, and oozes that retro vibe that fits perfectly into ALD’s aesthetic.

The other option is a bit more daring, mixing blue, yellow, and red accents, giving the 475 a playful, preppy edge. Both pairs feature the signature ‘N’ logo on the side, crafted with premium materials like cracked leather and mesh for a stylish finish.

The 475 model, originally designed in the 80s, aimed for versatility and everyday wear. ALD has managed to keep the shoe’s original DNA intact while adding their own touch of luxury, making these sneakers perfect for those who appreciate both style and quality.
