Everything You Need to Know About the adidas BadBo 1.0 and BadBo 1.1

Bad Bunny and adidas Originals aren't finished with the BadBo. After the silhouette's Super Bowl bow and its Rise apparel tie-in earlier this year, the pair are back with two new pairs: a moodier BadBo 1.0 colourway and, for the first time, a low-top BadBo 1.1.

Both take their cues from Puerto Rico, and they're landing worldwide on 26 September 2026.

A Closer Look at the BadBo 1.0 and BadBo 1.1...

Start with the BadBo 1.0, and the concept here is "blue hour", that fleeting stretch where the sky over Puerto Rico slides from dusk into deep navy and indigo. adidas builds the shoe in leather and suede, stacking Night Navy over Night Indigo for a tonal, moody finish.

Rugged suede sits across the vamp on a neoprene base, and a cream midsole with a navy outsole keeps the whole gradient intact right down to the ground.

Flip to the BadBo 1.1 and the story changes entirely. This is the family's first low-top, and it's built from scratch rather than just chopped down from the original.

The colour story draws on the Puerto Rican coastline this time, landing on a beachy Chalk White, Grey and Soft Pink mix meant to echo shells buried under the sand. A three-wave overlay runs across the upper as a nod to that coastline, alongside a T-toe pulled from adidas' own archive.

Dotted mesh takes over from the 1.0's leather on the side panels, and extra mesh under the tongue makes for a noticeably lighter, airier shoe overall.

Where the BadBo Came From

Bad Bunny unveiled the BadBo earlier this year as his signature shoe with adidas, pitched as his own everyday trainer. It first surfaced in a white colourway during his Super Bowl halftime show, before a beige-and-black 'Rise' edition followed, paired with his first apparel capsule for the brand.

The BadBo 1.0 and BadBo 1.1 pick up right where that left off, still built around Bad Bunny's own reference points rather than a generic collab template.

When Do They Drop?

The BadBo 1.0 is priced at £140, while the low-top BadBo 1.1 comes in at £100. Both release worldwide on 26 September 2026, including via adidas.co.uk.
