Yep, it’s officially official! Back to shake up the sneaker game with a eye-catching footwear offering as well as a clean range of apparel, it’s looking like Stüssy/Nike summer. Let’s take a look!

A Closer Look at the Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 Collection…

This time around, they’re diving into a surf-inspired collection that’s sure to make big waves (sorry, we couldn’t help it!). The highlight, of course, lies within the LD-1000 sneaker, available in two fresh colourways of ‘Action Green’ and ‘Phantom’. Keeping in line with Nike’s long-lineage of reviving archival silhouettes, this 70s classic, known for its iconic waffle sole, is a solid choice for a comeback.

This Stüssy x Nike collaboration perfectly bridges the gap between land and sea. Featuring a mix of UV-safe swimwear, cosy fleece loungewear, and breezy linen jackets. Naturally, both brands’ logos are proudly displayed on these pieces.

You can snag the Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 Collection starting FRIDAY 12TH JULY 2024 at STÜSSY ONLINE & IN-STORE across the US, UK, and Europe, as well as select Dover Street Market locations.

Then, the Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 will land at NIKE a week later on FRIDAY 19TH JULY 2024.

Good friends, Stüssy and Nike, are rumoured to be returning to the sneaker scene with a collaboration that you’re not likely to miss in a crowd. Dominating our Instagram algorithms thanks to @carterwangchina, we’ve got a glimpse at what appears to be a Stüssy-fied LD 1000, donning a highlighter green exterior. Although official info regarding the release is still very much underwraps, we’re eager to get into the details – so continue reading for a closer look.

When it comes to collaborative resumes, the global streetwear label and athletic powerhouse are a force to be reckoned with. Just take a look at the Air Flight 89, Vandal, Air Penny or SB Blazer Low, and yes, the list really does go on. Introduced in the ‘70s, the Nike LD 1000 entered the scene as a running silhouette. However, its time came to an untimely end when runners were developing knee issues after sporting the kicks on the track. Sure, the flared heel might not have made the cut for performance purposes, but was still able to cultivate a considerable response from sneaker connoisseurs. Here to reclaim its legacy, Stüssy breathes new life into the LD 1000, and we’re here for it.

A Closer Look at the Stüssy x Nike LD 1000…

Boasting a neon green hue that you really couldn’t miss if you tried, the offering at hand flaunts a predominantly wide-mesh upper. Hits of distressed suede don a slightly different shade of green, bringing a pleasant tonal contrast. Black enters the exterior within the Swoosh, inner lining and underfoot, grounding the silhouette alongside a crisp EVA foam midsole. 

In a stylish twist, Stüssy’s signature emblem graces the heel, trading the usual Nike insignia for a distinctive hit. Meanwhile, the tongue boasts the Californian-brand’s iconic hand-scrawled font, replacing the Swoosh’s customary proclamation of being “Engineered to the exact specifications of championship athletes.”
