The Nike Dunk has been gaining popularity since 2018, and it reached its peak in 2021, earning the year the title "Year of the Dunk" among sneaker enthusiasts. This silhouette continued to be in demand even after this year.
In 2022, Nike released the iconic 'Court Purple' colorway on the Dunk Low, which was previously seen on the Air Jordan 1 and Dunk High. The upper of this Dunk is made of leather, with the toebox, side panel, and collar in white. The laces are also white, while the overlays have a recognisable purple hue. This colour can also be seen on the lining, Swoosh, heeltab, and outsole. The heeltab features the Nike branding in white.
