Introducing the Nike Tuned
The Nike Tuned, also known as the Nike Air Max Plus, first hit the scene in 1998 and quickly cemented itself as a cultural icon.
Created by designer Sean McDowell, the TN introduced groundbreaking Tuned Air technology, with strategically placed air units that delivered targeted cushioning and stability to different zones of the foot. Its daring aesthetic (defined by wave-like TPU overlays inspired by palm trees and a sharp, aggressive silhouette) distinguished it from other sneakers of the era.
The TN gained massive popularity, particularly in Europe and Australia, where it became deeply embedded in urban subcultures and streetwear. Beyond its bold look, it continues to stand out for its comfort and reliable performance.
