Introducing the Nike Air Max Pre-Day
The Nike Air Max Pre-Day reimagines Nike's storied running legacy, combining vintage-inspired aesthetics with modern sustainability and design innovation. Launched in 2021, it takes cues from late-1970s jogging shoes, featuring a sleek silhouette with a lightweight mesh upper, synthetic suede overlays, and a prominent, exposed Air unit in the heel. This design pays homage to the past while introducing a fresh approach to cushioning.
Unlike traditional Air Max models, where the Air unit is enclosed, the Pre-Day’s full-length Air cushioning remains fully visible and compressed between the midsole and outsole, providing a uniquely soft and responsive feel with every step.
Focusing on sustainability, the Air Max Pre-Day incorporates at least 20% recycled materials by weight, including a 100% recycled polyester upper and roughly 13% Nike Grind rubber in the outsole, aligning with Nike's Move to Zero initiative to reduce waste and carbon emissions.
