Introducing the Air Jordan 19
The Air Jordan 19, released in 2004, represented a bold shift from earlier models with its futuristic design inspired by the black mamba snake.
Created by Tate Kuerbis, the AJ19 introduced a striking Tech-Flex upper - a lightweight, breathable material that delivered flexibility and support. This was paired with a full-length Zoom Air cushioning system for responsive comfort on the court. A distinctive Velcro strap system allowed for a customisable fit, while a carbon fibre shank plate reinforced stability through the midfoot.
