Introducing the Air Jordan 15
The Air Jordan 15, launched in 1999, represents a bold and unconventional moment in the Air Jordan legacy. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, it was the first model released following Michael Jordan’s second retirement, symbolising both innovation and a period of transition.
Drawing inspiration from the X-15 fighter jet, the shoe features a futuristic, aerodynamic design with sharp lines, woven Kevlar uppers, and a prominent tongue echoing Jordan’s iconic on-court style. On the technical side, it includes Zoom Air cushioning for responsiveness, a hidden speed-lacing system for a sleek fit, and a carbon fibre midfoot shank for added stability.
