Introducing Patta
Patta was born in the early 2000s out of a deep passion for sneakers and hip-hop culture. Founders Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt began by sourcing rare kicks and underground finds from places like New York, bringing them back to Amsterdam in duffel bags.
By 2004, they had opened the doors to their first store - establishing Patta as a vibrant hub for sneaker lovers, artists, and creatives both in the Netherlands and abroad.
Since then, Patta has evolved into a defining force within Amsterdam’s streetwear scene. More than just a brand, it’s a movement built on community, authenticity, and the spirit of urban culture. Their in-house clothing line, which began with a now-iconic logo designed by Piet Parra, has become a staple in global streetwear. With flagship locations in Amsterdam, London, and Milan, Patta’s influence stretches worldwide.
Along the way, they’ve delivered standout collaborations with heavyweights like Nike, Jordan Brand, New Balance, Vans, Converse, and Stüssy, as well as creative partnerships with musicians, designers, and cultural institutions - solidifying their place at the intersection of fashion, music, and street culture.
