The Wait is Over: The Supreme x Nike Air Max 1 ’87 Has a Release Date

The highly anticipated Supreme x Nike Air Max 1 ’87 collaboration will officially drop on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM CET. The sneaker will be available in four colourways: ‘White,’ ‘Black,’ ‘Varsity Purple,’ and ‘Speed Yellow.’ Alongside the sneakers, matching apparel from the Spring/Summer 2025 lookbook will also be released.

The release marks a historic moment as Supreme, after years of collaborating with Nike, finally debuts the Air Max 1 silhouette, much to the excitement of fans.

The first leaked images and mock-ups of the collaboration surfaced in early 2024. Now, after months of anticipation, we can see the sneakers in their full glory. The ‘White’ colourway features a clean white upper with a red Box logo on the tongue and a luxurious leather Swoosh.

Now, we’re also seeing the ‘Black’, ‘Varsity Purple’, and ‘Speed Yellow’ colourways with ‘World Famous’ in curl letters written on the heel and Supreme pressed into the sole.

Supreme has been working with Nike for years, producing a variety of sought-after sneaker releases. However, the Air Max 1 has remained absent from their previous collaborations. This long-awaited release, which includes the iconic Supreme Box logo, has sneaker enthusiasts excited for its arrival.
