The Ultimate 2000s Throwback: BAPE x adidas Orketro Collab

BAPE and adidas are teaming up again, and this time they’re giving the classic Orketro a proper BAPE makeover.

For those who remember the early 2000s, the Orketro is a true throwback, but with BAPE’s signature style, it’s been totally reimagined for today’s vibe. This is BAPE’s first go at adidas’ running line, stepping into new territory after putting their stamp on classics like the Superstar and Stan Smith, and even working their magic on Damian Lillard’s Dame line.

In this collab, adidas’ well-known three stripes are swapped out for BAPE’s bold STA logo, giving the Orketro a unique streetwear look. You’ll also find the BAPE gorilla logo on the insoles – a small yet powerful nod to the brand’s identity.

The collection’s colours are spot on, too. You’ve got a Brazil-inspired combo of blue, green, and yellow that’s bound to turn heads; a deep burgundy-to-purple gradient if you’re feeling a bit flashy; and a black-and-white option for a cleaner, classic look. Reflective accents and textured overlays give each pair that extra edge, making these more than just a casual wear.
