Nike’s bold and vibrant ‘Olympic’ Air Max 95 is making a long-awaited comeback, just in time for the 2026 season.

Originally released in 2004, the sneaker quickly earned a staple status for its bold use of the five Olympic ring colours— gold, red, blue, yellow, and green, set against a clean white base. Though never officially tied to the games, the design captured the global energy of the Olympics, coinciding with the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics and becoming one of the standout Air Max 95 colourways of its era.

More than two decades later, the ‘Olympic’ 95 is set to rejoin Nike’s Spring 2026 lineup. Industry sources confirm that the retro will closely resemble the original version thanks to a matching colour code (IB7872-100). While the official images have yet to surface, the expectations are high for a faithful return of this fan favourite.

The timing of the release is fitting with the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan kicking off in February. While Nike hasn’t confirmed a direct connection, the release window— January through March 2026— hints at a subtle nod to the global sporting event.
