Enter the New Balance 9093!

A mash-up that fuses the DNA of the heritage 993 with the unapologetically loud sole unit of the 9060. Let us take a closer look at what we can expect!

A Closer Look at the New Balance 9093 Hybrid Model…

Now, New Balance is no stranger to the hybrid game, but this particular combination feels like something special anyway. On one hand, you’ve got the 993: a certified classic from the legendary 99X series that oozes classic ‘dad shoe’ stability and retro-running charm.

On the other side, you’ve got the Y2K-inspired 9060, a silhouette that has spent the last few years dominating the lifestyle space, courtesy of massive general releases and collaborations with the likes of Joe Freshgoods, for example.

So, what happens when you smash them together?

At first glance, the 9093 manages to look entirely new yet instantly familiar. The upper strips away the typical 9060 construction and leans more into the layered, tech-runner style of the classic 993. Breathable mesh and leather overlays form the base here. And then, we get a fresh twist: a newly moulded suede mudguard wrapping around the perimeter of the shoe to give it an elevated, modern edge.

Down below, the well-known 9060’s chunky, sculpted midsole takes centre stage. As always, not just a visual element, but also retaining all that reliable comfort and aggressive structure we’ve come to expect.

The debut colourway keeps things understated, arriving in a soft palette of white, cream, and subtle lavender tones.
