Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 Low Dropping This December

When two dominators in the streetwear and footwear game link up, it’s always going to bang. Proving this point over two decades of ice-cold collaborations, Stüssy and Nike are back once again, and this time it’s all about the Nike Air Flight 89. The alliance’s last endeavour served up a textural reimaginating of the classic Vandal model, much to the delight of old school sneaker connoisseurs. In light of the Air Flight 89’s 35th anniversary landing next year, both old and new enthusiasts can definitely appreciate this collaborative offering, due to land in three colourways. 

Originally entering the scene in ‘89 as a basketball silhouette, the Nike Air Flight 89 quickly became a popular choice on court. Crafted from the same creative mind that brought the Air Force 1 into fruition (big-up Bruce Kilgore), the retro model boasts a distinctive mid-top persona, utilising both synthetic and leather overlays. In the collaboration at hand, the kicks will be making their low-top debut, whilst also taking visual notes from the Air Jordan 4. 

A Closer Look at the Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 Low

Anticipated to land in three palettes of ‘White/Habanero Red’, ‘Black/White’ and ‘White/Pecan’, each offering appears with snakeskin sidewall overlays for an additional edge. Perforation throughout the upper ensures breathability no matter how hot things get, visually accentuated through the predominantly white leather exterior. Extra embellishments include mesh collars, Stüssy’s distinctive “SS” motifs, midfoot Swoosh emblems, collaborative tongues and embroidered “NIKE AIR” branding. 

The Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 Low will arrive just in time for the Holiday 2023 Season.
