Blending Stone Island’s innovative approach to materials with New Balance’s reputation for comfort, this collaboration gives the 998 an industrial-inspired look. Durable fabrics and precise detailing enhance the sneaker’s rugged appeal while maintaining its signature fit and cushioning.

The sneaker features a combination of suede and mesh, offering both durability and a comfortable fit. Sturdy overlays enhance its rugged appearance, while subtle Stone Island branding appears on the tongue and heel. Meanwhile, ABZORB-cushioning delivers the signature comfort expected from New Balance.

Staying true to Stone Island’s aesthetic, the color palette blends earthy tones, deep grays, and subtle green accents, striking a balance between sophistication and boldness.

Collaboration

Stone Island and New Balance have teamed up before, successfully blending their design philosophies. Previous collaborations, including the FuelCell C_1, 574 Legacy, and 991v2, have all been reimagined with fresh updates. Now, the 998 takes center stage, featuring technical materials and subtle Stone Island branding that set it apart.

The Stone Island x New Balance 998 is set to launch on March 27, 2025, exclusively through Stone Island. To get a chance to purchase a pair, advance registration is required.
