Seamlessly incorporating contemporary style with innovative tech, this dynamic collaboration honours the long-standing relationship between two industry powerhouses. Offering a different persona within each offering; choosing a pair to fit your vibe couldn’t be easier. If you’re a fan of darker hues, the ‘Black’ iteration (FJ4201-001) will fit the bill perfectly, contrasting a thick sail midsole for a progressive look. For those who prefer a bolder approach, the alliance are serving up vibrant palettes of ‘Saffron Quartz’ (FJ4201-300), as well as the previously-teased ‘Bright Magenta’ sneaker (FJ4201-100). Made texturally intricate through mesh, neoprene and leather materials, these kicks pay homage to the OG Air Huarache Plus with influence from the Pegasus 40.

As the end of the year approaches, sneaker enthusiasts are beginning to speculate what’s to come in 2024. The latest suspect on our rumour radar is the Patta x Nike Air Huarache – read on to investigate the evidence at hand as we dive into the speculation…

Firstly, 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the Dutch streetwear label, and what better way to honour it than a collaboration with none other than the Swoosh?! After all, the duo is no stranger to a hot dual-offering, just take the Air Max 1 Wave capsule and Barcelona FC sneaker for instance. It’s particularly evident that Patta are fans of Tinker Hatfield’s creations, especially with the recent news of an AM1 ‘Chlorophyll’ on track, so why wouldn’t they continue this legacy with another Hatfield classic? This is where the Nike Air Huarache comes in, however, the model’s relevance within this potential collab goes further back than you’d initially think. Let’s take a closer look at the rumoured sneaker…

A Closer Look at the Patta x Nike Air Huarache Plus…

The silhouette of this potential offering resembles the 1994 Nike Air Huarache Plus (pictured above), sporting a dynamic upper of leather panelling atop a mesh underlay. The distinctive design elements emulate a nostalgic feel, brought into the modern day with a slightly different lower to the ‘94 shoe. Featuring a ‘Light Orewood Brown’ Zoom sole unit lifted from the Pegasus 40, the sneakers work atop a black rubber outsole for comfort all day long. Flaunting a mixture of ‘Bright Magenta’, ‘Light Smoke Grey’ and ‘White’ hues, contrasting materials provide a sleek and fashionable persona. Rounding off the silhouette, the tongue proudly boasts ‘Air Huarache by Patta’ co-branding, while the pull tabs rep a ‘Nike Patta’ emblem.
