Over the past few months, rumours have been swirling about Nike‘s plans to bring back some of its classic kicks. And now, in April 2024, the Swoosh has dropped the bombshell with the launch of its Cult Classics program. A slick teaser vid from the brand confirms what we all have been hoping for – the return of some iconic designs!
Let’s talk highlights. First off, we’ve got the legendary CO.JP (Concept Japan) colourways making a comeback. We’re talking about the Dunk Low ‘Veneer’ and ‘Ultraman’ – not forgetting the Air Force 1 ‘Linen’. These bangers used to be Japan exclusives back in the late ’90s and early ’00s, but now they’re returning to hit the global stage.
But wait – Nike’s not stopping there. They’re also bringing back the ‘Ivory Snake’ Air Force 1 from ’96, which received a retro drop in 2019. Additionally, they’re giving a shoutout to the Air 180 in ‘Ultramarine’ and ‘Concord’ colourways too. Classic vibes from ’91, anyone?
It’s not just about the old-school vibes. Nike’s throwing in some fresher kicks too, like the ‘Varsity Green’ Dunk Low from 2021 and the Air Max 90 ‘Reverse Duck Camo‘ from Air Max Day 2020.
