Nike has unveiled another Air Max ’86 Golf. The Air Max 1 ‘86 OG Golf ‘Chlorophyll’ takes clear inspiration from the popular Patta x Nike Air Max 1 SP ‘Chlorophyll’ colourway, which was an instant hit when it launched in 2009 and made comeback in 2024. Fans were seen lining up outside Patta stores to grab a pair of the green and white kicks with denim details, and now the Boston-based powerhiuse is using that same eye-catching colour scheme for the golf course.
First debuted in the ‘80s, the Air Max 1 was the first sneaker to showcase Nike’s revolutionary visible Air cushioning, and now, with the Air Max 1 ’86, Nike has returned to Tinker Hatfield’s original sketch for a truly faithful rendition. The ‘Chlorophyll’ colourway draws inspiration from the popular Patta collaboration, taking the same bold green accents and pairing them with a clean white base, though the denim overlays have been replaced with a more golf-appropriate design.
Golfers are bound to appreciate the hybrid design, which maintains all the retro charm of the original while enhancing functionality. The robust outsole ensures a solid grip on the course, so you won’t slip while you’re lining up that crucial putt. Plus, that large Air bubble isn’t just for looks – it adds comfort and support where it’s needed most, keeping your feet feeling fresh no matter how many holes you’re hitting.
The Air Max 1 ’86 OG Golf ‘Chlorophyll’ (DV1403-119) is set to land SPRING 2025. In the meantime, check out the currently available Air Max 1 ’86 colourways below!
