Nike Revives the Moon Shoe OG in Three Heritage Colourways

Nike is taking it back to where it all began. The brand has officially unveiled three new colourways of the Moon Shoe OG, bringing one of the most historically significant silhouettes in sneaker history back into the spotlight.

Malachite (IW0955-300), Soft Yellow (IW0955-700), Sail (IW0955-101)

The trio arrives in Malachite, Soft Yellow and Sail, each pairing lightweight nylon uppers with premium leather overlays and oversized leather Swooshes. Underfoot, the iconic gum Waffle outsole remains intact, staying faithful to the original 1970s design while providing the traction that made the silhouette a breakthrough in running footwear.

Originally created by Bill Bowerman before Nike had even adopted its famous name, the Moon Shoe was among the very first prototypes to feature the revolutionary Waffle outsole. Famously crafted using Bowerman's wife's waffle iron, the sole would go on to define Nike's early running innovations and lay the foundation for decades of performance footwear. The latest release celebrates that legacy while introducing a fresh palette for everyday wear.

While the Moon Shoe recently found renewed attention through its collaboration with Jacquemus, this general release shifts the focus back to Nike's own archives. Rather than reinventing the silhouette, Nike has opted to celebrate its roots with clean, wearable colourways that highlight the shoe's minimalist construction and vintage aesthetic.
