Nike Dresses the Air Max 90 in the ‘Ultramarine’ Colour Palette

If you’re a purist when it comes to Air Max history, this one is going to hit home. Nike is officially bringing back the ‘Ultramarine‘ colourway, but there’s a twist: this time, it’s taking over the Air Max 90 silhouette.

Originally made famous by the Air Max 180 back in ’91, the ‘Ultramarine’ palette features a white base with blue and orange details.

A Closer Look at the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Ultramarine’…

The execution is as clean as you’d expect. The Air Max 90 Ultramarine features a white mesh and leather base, providing a great canvas for the ‘Solar Red’ and ‘Ultramarine’ accents to pop. The vibrant pinkish-red hits the heel branding and the Air unit surround, while the deep blue takes care of the Swoosh and lining.

All in all, it’s a colour blocking that feels both retro and remarkably fresh.

We think this Air Max 90 rendition captures that same summer-ready, nostalgic vibe the Air Max 180 carries, but with the slightly chunkier, more aggressive stance of the AM90 model. OG collectors will be very happy about this one, but it’s also just a really nice colourway to wear for Spring 2026.
