Nike Air Max SNDR ‘Obscura’ Takes Inspo from Nordic Winters

The Swoosh continues to innovate within its iconic Air Max lineage with the release of the Nike Air Max SNDR ‘Obscura’.

Taking the heritage of the Air Max and catapulting it into a contemporary climate with a design that’s sleek and versatile, this colourway is the epitome of streetwear luxe.

Taking its design cues from the dark, atmospheric winters of the Nordic region, this ‘Obscura’ palette effortlessly projects a subtle sophistication. Expressing a predominately light ‘Phantom’ upper crafted from a mixture of durable textiles (including mesh and synthetic overlays), the design champions breathability as a priority. The airy hues are offset by black accents within the lower, zipper shroud and heel tabs, which ground the aesthetic. 

Breaking up the colour scheme, a vibrant orange insole, adorned with white Nike Air branding, brings a striking touch of warmth. Wrapped up with a foam midsole featuring Air units in the heel and forefoot – we can expect to see this iteration dominating the streets.
