As an update on the original Air Max 95 design, the Nike Air Max 95 Essential offers the same construction and excellent cushioning that turned the original shoe into one of the most memorable members of the Air Max family. It’s easy to see that the blueprint of the 95 was heavily inspired by the human body: the midsole takes its contours from the spine, the graduated panels represent the muscles, the lace loops are the ribs and the mesh in the upper is the skin. We’ve seen many different editions of the Air Max 95, but this latest White/Pure Platinum release is clean and uncomplicated and shows off the materials to full effect. A strong contender for the Christmas list, we think.
