Taking a natural process and using it to portray a stunning palette of autumnal hues, the latest take on the Air Max 95 draws inspiration from erosion. A Closer Look at the Nike Air Max 95 ‘Erosion’ (HM0953-100)…

Built on a ‘Velvet Brown’ mesh base that symbolises soil, the shoe’s earthy foundation contrasts a crisp ‘Summit White’ netting along the lacing system. While that may sound like nothing out-of-the-ordinary, the real story is in the details. On the lateral sides, suede panels transition from a soft pastel pink to a deep aubergine hue, adding a dynamic gradient effect. Flip the sneaker, and you’ll find creamy tan leather on the medial sidewall that fades into a rich chocolate brown, creating a striking, asymmetric look that’s both subtle and bold.

As for beneath the upper, Nike has blacked out the midsole (- a design move inspired by the earth’s crust), while three bright blue Air bubbles deliver optimal comfort. Reaffirming the natural elements theme, both the exclusive insole and box express the phrase Nike Air Max 95 as if unearthed by the process of erosion.
