After getting a taste of the Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 1906 Loafer at Paris Fashion Week 2024, we’re now treated to the first peek at another design. The brand’s rolling out a sandal that’s all about bringing New Balance vibes in a fresh style inspired by the ‘dad shoe’ trend.

A Closer Look at the Upcoming New Balance Sandal…

New Balance Dad Sandal

Though we don’t know much about the shoe yet – not even a name – we’ve got some early pics to check out. It’s a solid-looking sandal with an upper made of various textiles, like mesh, suede, and other soft textures in earthy colours like olive green, beige, brown, and black. But what really stands out is the chunky, two-tone Vibram sole.

Like the New Balance 1906 Loafer, these sandals ditch the usual laces. Instead, they’ve got thick straps to wrap around your feet, giving you good support and a snug fit, with extra straps around the ankle.

We’ve only seen one colour option so far, but we’re guessing there’ll be more choices down the line. They haven’t dropped the exact release date yet, but these sandals should hit the shelves in SUMMER 2024.
